Pallavi Patel is a Mumbai-based Costume Designer specialising in stage costumes.
After graduating from NIFT, she worked in film and TV industry in Mumbai, before moving to London for her MA in Costume design for Performance from LCF where she discovered the magic of live performances.
She moved back to India in 2015 where she works out of her studio and manufacturing unit in Andheri, Mumbai. Apart from designing costumes she makes and exports costumes for European designers. She also enjoys making tech heavy costumes for some of the top cosplayers in the city.
Her design for Shakespeare’s The Tempest was exhibited at ‘Shakespeare: Greatest Living Playwright’ in 2014 at the Victoria and Albert museum, London.
Pallavi also co-runs The Costume Team, a costume company, with Anubha Patnaik.
Their work on the web series TVF's Pitchers earned a nomination at the Filmfare OTT Awards in 2023.
